Buyers in Europe and the US want to buy from Indian factories but cannot visit them. You can. Find the real manufacturers in your town, see the floor for yourself, and tell us what is true.

Why Ambala first
Ambala is one of India’s biggest clusters for scientific and lab instruments, and Obten is buying lab equipment right now (see what we are buying). The makers are there. We need people who can tell them apart from the traders. If you are in Moradabad, Tiruppur, Panipat, Bhadohi or Jodhpur, apply too: those clusters are next.
What you will do
- Find manufacturers, not traders: name, factory address with a map pin, GST number, IEC where they have one, what they make, and proof they make it themselves.
- Collect export records and certificates such as CE and ISO, and check them online where they can be checked.
- Visit the factory with the owner's written permission and shoot an unedited walkthrough video, plus photos of the machines, materials and packed goods.
- Write a short cluster note: what the town makes, who the real makers are, what buyers ask for and where orders are lost.
- Join calls with the Obten team when a supplier moves forward.
What you get

What this is not
This is not a job and there is no salary. You pick which tasks to take, you set your own hours, and you can keep your other work. The one thing you cannot do alongside is work for another business that sources Indian goods for export.
Who fits
- You live in or near Ambala, or one of our other clusters.
- You can tell a factory from a trading office, or you want to learn how.
- You speak Hindi or the local language. English helps but is not required.
- You are 18 or older.
- You report only what you saw, and you say "I don't know" when you don't. A made-up report ends the arrangement.
