FY27 is an Obten projection of a partial recovery from the FY26 tariff trough: US duties on Indian goods fell from the roughly 50 percent regime to about 15 to 18 percent in February 2026, after the 25 percent punitive duty was removed, the reciprocal rate was cut to 18 percent, and the Supreme Court struck down the IEEPA tariffs for a Section 122 surcharge, easing the pressure that drove the decline; EPCH's handicraft outlook stays growth-oriented. The India-EU FTA concluded January 2026 is a forward signal only, with preferential duties effective on entry into force, expected 2027. The FY23 dip reflects the global home goods demand slump.

Why source from Jodhpur

Jodhpur is India's principal hub for solid wood and reclaimed wood furniture: sheesham, mango and acacia worked by an artisan base of over 500 manufacturing units, accounting for roughly 60 percent of Rajasthan's handicraft exports. It built its global position on handmade, industrial and vintage styles that Western furniture retailers and hospitality buyers program season after season, with wooden products around three quarters of the cluster's craft output.
